Lonna Mae
Biography
Lonna Mae is a pseudonym, a ruse, a "tour name." Think "Publius" meets "Mark
Twain." Why? My novels are explicit portrayals of very adult subjects. There are
graphic scenes involving sex, drugs and some violence. There are specific discussions
of drug trading and the effects of many drugs including alcohol, nicotine, marijuana,
hallucinogens, narcotics and stimulants. The sexual issues explored include
heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality, promiscuity, fidelity and incest, although
the graphic scenes are heterosexual. The violence is related to domestic abuse and
that occasioned by the drug trade.

Lonna Mae advocates the legalization of all drugs and refocusing society's resources
from punishment to treatment, to destroy the black market and the monopoly that the
medical profession enjoys. Lonna Mae advocates sexual and reproductive freedom
and responsibility. And Lonna Mae condemns violence, corruption and abuse.

Other subjects explored include philosophy, politics, religion, psychology, culture,
mathematics, technology, meteorology, cuisine, mysticism and myths.

No subject is taboo.

Lonna Mae is an attorney who is concerned that her fitness might be challenged for
the subject and content of, as well as the political and other views expressed in, her
writing. Lonna Mae strongly advocates for a very broad and liberal reading of the
First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Lonna grew up in New York City, suburban Connecticut and coastal Massachusetts
and has called Vermont home for most of her adult life. She attended a private high
school, a small liberal arts college and a small law school, all located in New England.
Lonna has been fortunate to have traveled extensively, both throughout America and
the world. While she does not play any musical instruments, she is an avid dancer and
has studied both art and music history and theory. She owns hundreds of hours of
live Grateful Dead, Phish and Pearl Jam and her concert experience with those
bands alone is well over 300 shows. She saw her first Dead show in 1982, and her
first Phish show at a private party in 1985, the night before a Dead Show. In 1991,
she attended 67 Grateful Dead concerts in a row (and her first Pearl Jam show), and
has personally experienced living on tour, with no address.

"These stories seemed not to come
from me, but through me.
I thank the universe for the inspiration and my father for the discipline to write."
